This nationally recognised qualification prepares learners to provide person-centred care and support to individuals in community, home, or residential care settings.
Students will develop the skills to assist clients with ageing or disability needs, promote independence and wellbeing, and deliver compassionate, ethical care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
All learning and assessments align with current Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.
Blended Learning (Online + Work Placement)
Online Theory: Complete theory units at your own pace through our interactive online platform.
Practical Work Placement: Gain hands-on experience through a minimum of 120 hours of supervised placement in an approved aged care or disability support setting.
Leading Integral Training provides guidance in arranging suitable placement opportunities.
Course Duration:
Typically completed over 12 months (self-paced and flexible).
Duration may vary depending on learner experience, study schedule, and placement availability.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Provide person-centred support for individuals with ageing and disability needs.
Promote independence, wellbeing, and dignity in daily living activities.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care teams.
Apply legal, ethical, and safe work practices in care settings.
Recognise healthy body systems and respond to client health changes.
Facilitate inclusion, empowerment, and community participation.
Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification – CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability).
This qualification equips learners with the foundation skills to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across both aged and disability support sectors.
This course is open entry; however, participants must:
Have sufficient English, literacy, and digital skills (LLND evaluation and Pre-Training Review required).
Be 18 years or older to undertake work placement.
Have access to a computer and basic digital literacy.
Obtain the following at their own expense:
National Police Check (NCCHC) – clear record required.
Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Provide proof of current flu vaccination (COVID-19 vaccination recommended).
Be able to demonstrate required skills in a real care setting.
