This nationally recognised unit provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge to respond to emergencies and provide first aid in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. You’ll learn how to assess emergency situations, deliver first aid treatment, and perform CPR confidently and effectively in real-life scenarios.
Blended Learning (Online + Face-to-Face)
Online Theory: Complete the knowledge assessment at your own pace through interactive online learning.
Practical Session: Attend a face-to-face practical session at an approved training venue to demonstrate hands-on first aid and CPR skills under trainer supervision.

Practical Training: 3 hours face to face
By completing this course, you will learn to:
Recognise and assess emergency situations.
Provide first aid for bleeding, burns, fractures, shock, and other medical emergencies.
Perform CPR in accordance with ARC Guidelines.
Safely use first aid equipment and resources.
Communicate incident details to emergency services and workplace supervisors.
Review and support workplace health and safety procedures.
Certification:
Participants who successfully complete all requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment – HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, recognised Australia-wide and meeting workplace compliance standards.
This course has open entry, however participants must:
To ensure accurate communication with supervisors and emergency response services, participants must possess and demonstrate sufficient language skills. These skills will be assessed as part of the course requirements.
Participants will also be required to engage in physical activities, including kneeling on the floor, in accordance with assessment guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). Please wear suitable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement during these practical components
